Artist Statement

Иногда мне кажется, что я создаю искусство не потому, что хочу, а потому что не могу иначе.Это моя форма молитвы. Способ быть здесь, когда внутри — шторм.

Я не знаю, как быть артистом «правильно». Я просто двигаюсь, когда тело больше не выдерживает молчания. Пишу, когда чувства становятся слишком плотными. Смотрю в камеру, как в зеркало — чтобы помнить, кто я. Танцую, как будто никто не видит.

Мое искусство  — детский взгляд сквозь взрослый опыт. Он помогает видеть красоту там, где её вроде бы нет, и слышать смыслы в самых тихих мгновениях. Меня интересует как из «взрыва» может родиться соединение, дыхание, форма. Нечто телесное, уязвимое, текучее. Оно приходит из памяти, боли, движения, шепота, крика, любви. Из опыта быть собой, когда это сложно, страшно или невозможно. Из стремления не убегать от жизни, а встречаться с ней — целиком.

Мои проекты — это не рассказ, а проживание. Они существуют на границе между хаосом и космосом, личной правдой и универсальной уязвимостью, между голосом и молчанием, телом и пустотой.

Я живу, чтобы любить. Люблю, чтобы творить. Творю, чтобы жить.

Artist Statement 

Sometimes I think I create art not because I want to, but because I can't otherwise. It's my form of prayer. A way of being here when it's a storm inside.

I don't know how to be an artist «right». I just move when my body can't take the silence anymore. Writing when the feelings get too dense. Looking into the camera like a mirror — to remember who I am. I dance as if no one can see.

My art is a child's perspective through adult experience. It helps me to see beauty where there seems to be none, and to hear meaning in the quietest moments. I am interested in how a connection, a breath, a form can be born out of an «explosion». Something corporeal, vulnerable, fluid. It comes from memory, pain, movement, whispering, screaming, love. From the experience of being yourself when it is difficult, scary, or impossible. From the desire not to run away from life, but to encounter it — whole.

My projects are not a story, but an inhabitation. They exist on the border between chaos and space, between personal truth and universal vulnerability, between voice and silence, body and emptiness. 

I live to love. I love to create. I create to live.
